Snapcase

Snapcase formed in Buffalo, New York in the early 1990s with vocalist Daryl Taberski and guitarist Frank Vicario. They released their debut album 'Comatose' in 1992, with bassist Daryl Palumbo and drummer Tim Redmond completing the lineup. The band's sound was aggressive hardcore punk, but their lyrics often dealt with personal struggles and social issues, which sometimes drew criticism from parts of the hardcore scene.

Their 1995 album 'Designs for Automotion' included the song 'Skeptic,' which became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs like 'Ambition Now' and 'Are You Tuned In?' show their approach to hardcore that balanced intensity with thoughtful content. The band maintained a relatively stable lineup through most of their active years, though drummer John Ehlers briefly replaced Redmond in the mid-1990s.

Snapcase released several albums through the 1990s and early 2000s, including 'Progression Through Unlearning' in 1993 and 'End Transmission' in 2001. Their music stayed rooted in hardcore punk while exploring more introspective territory than many of their contemporaries. They were part of that Buffalo scene that produced several notable hardcore bands during that period.
