Sneaky Sound System formed in Sydney in 1999, with members including vocalists Anthony "Daimon" Thornton and Connie Mitchell. Their debut album "From Here to Anywhere" came out in 2002, mixing electro-funk with hip-hop and disco elements. Early singles like "I Love It" and "Pictures" found success on Australian charts.
They followed with "cul de sac" in 2004 and a self-titled album in 2006, continuing to work in electro-funk territory. Connie Mitchell left the band in 2008, and they carried on as a four-piece. Their song "16" stirred debate for its subject matter, with the band describing it as social commentary.
After a break, Sneaky Sound System returned in 2014. Their catalog includes tracks like "Hip hip Hooray," "Big," and "Goodbye."
