Soave formed in the early 2000s with Sarah Blackwood on vocals and guitar, Adam Young on bass, Jesse Gomm on drums, and Mike Schmidt on keyboards. Their debut album 'The Bright Side' came out in 2004, followed by 'A Break in the Clouds' in 2006 and 'Under the Influence' in 2009.
In 2007, they released 'Crying Over You,' which became their biggest hit. The song's straightforward lyrics about heartbreak connected with listeners, and it topped charts in several countries. Other songs like 'If You Want Me' and 'Don't Look Back' also found an audience.
Schmidt and Gomm left the band at some point, and Soave brought in new members to continue. They also had a legal dispute with their former record label. The band's music, particularly 'Crying Over You,' still gets played years later.
