SOB X RBE

SOB X RBE came out of Vallejo, California, a rap collective with three core members: Yhung T.O., DaBoii, and Slimmy B. Their name stands for Strictly Only Brothers X Real Based Entertainment. They put out a series of mixtapes and EPs before their first proper album, 'Gangin 2,' arrived in 2017.

Their sound had the uptempo energy of the Bay Area's hyphy movement, with lyrics that reflected their own neighborhood experiences. The track 'Paramedic!' shows that driving, urgent style. 'Gangin 2' did well commercially, landing at number 32 on the Billboard 200 chart. They followed it with 'Gangin 3' the next year, which charted even higher at number 14.

In 2018, DaBoii's arrest on gun charges forced the group to postpone a tour. The following year brought another setback when Yhung T.O. was involved in an incident that further complicated things for the collective.
