Archive material and source history
Soberana Vocação came out of the Brazilian metal scene with a sound built on searing melodies and aggressive rhythms. Their 2009 album 'Faz o Meu Coração Arder' gave them a national profile, anchored by the title track and songs like 'Acende a Chama' and 'Não Se Esqueça' that became staples for their fans.
The band's lineup included Tássio Evangelista on vocals, Fernando Urias on guitar, Bernardo Sant'Anna on bass, and Wellington Benini on drums. They released their debut 'Quebrados e Arrasados' in 2007, followed by 'Cicatrizes' in 2012 and the concept album 'A Última Ceia' in 2016.
They kept playing regardless, and their dedicated fans called themselves 'Guardiões da Soberania.'
