They built a following around traditional heavy metal, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1992. Their song 'Only The Strong' became something of an anthem in certain metal circles, though the band's path wasn't straightforward.
Mackintosh left in 1996 to co-found Paradise Lost, and Solstice brought in Paul Savage as their new guitarist. They kept recording, putting out albums like 'New Dark Age' in 1994 and 'Pray' in 1997. Their catalog also includes tracks like 'These Forever Bleak Path' and 'A Cold Day In December'.
As of the last available information, the lineup featured Walker, Savage, Cato, and drummer Mark Haywood. They released 'Lightbringer' in 2010, continuing with the style they'd established years earlier.
