Solys formed in 2003 as a Brazilian Christian music band with four friends: vocalist Luana Campagnani, guitarist Gustavo Nassar, keyboardist Rafael Moreira, and drummer Sérgio Menezes. Their debut album came out in 2005, titled after the song 'Caminhar Ao Lado Seu,' which became a hit in their scene.
They followed that with albums like 'Fiel' in 2007, 'Viver Para Ti' in 2010, and 'Nosso Lar' in 2013. Their music drew from gospel, pop, and rock sounds, and they kept recording through the 2010s with releases like 'Som da Vida' in 2016 and 'O Caminho' in 2019.
In 2014, a former member made public accusations about financial issues within the group, which drew some media attention. The band continued working through that period with their original lineup intact.
