Som da Salvação is a Brazilian gospel group that formed in the early 1990s, led by vocalist Moysés Cleyton. The band's name translates to 'Sound of Salvation,' and they came up during a period of spiritual activity in Brazil's Pentecostal churches. Their debut album came out in 1996.
One of their early and well-known songs is 'Isaias 35,' which appeared on that first album. Another track, 'Salmos 67,' is also among their top songs. The group has put out more than twenty albums over time, mixing traditional gospel with contemporary worship styles.
In 2005, Cleyton faced accusations of plagiarism in a public scandal. The group continued on afterward. Their music draws from the Pentecostal church environment in Brazil, with Cleyton's vocals as a central element.
