Som da Vida formed in Brazil with Celso Fonseca on vocals and guitar, Marco Suzano on drums, and Zé Renato on keyboards. Their first album came out in 1996, and three years later they released the song 'Luz da Lua,' which became one of their most recognizable tracks.
Their music moved between quieter, reflective songs and more rhythmic pieces. Along with 'Luz da Lua,' songs like 'Emmanuel' and 'Novo Dia' show the band's range, from ballads to more upbeat material.
They put out another album in 2002 called 'Nação do Amor.' The band's work in the late 1990s and early 2000s found an audience in Brazil, drawn to their melodic sense and the straightforward delivery of Fonseca's vocals.
