They released their self-titled debut album in 2008, which featured the song 'Belo Horizonte' that became popular in Brazil.
Tiago Iorc eventually left to pursue a solo career, but the band continued recording. They put out three more albums: 'Luz' in 2010, 'Som D'Star 3' in 2013, and 'Som D'Star 4' in 2017. Another track, 'Os Aliados,' also appears among their notable songs.
Some critics raised questions about similarities between 'Belo Horizonte' and another artist's work, though the band maintained the song was original. Their later material moved toward more experimental territory while keeping some Brazilian rhythmic elements.
