Son de Rios formed in Mexico City in the early 2000s around vocalists Ulises and Leonel García. Their debut album came out in 2004, and its lead single "Por Siempre Mi Angel" hit number one on Mexican charts. That song, along with others like "Mi Dulce Bombom" and "Me Resigne a Olvidarte," connected with listeners through straightforward pop arrangements and lyrics about love and longing.
Leonel García left in 2007 to work solo, which paused the band for a while. They eventually regrouped with Ulises as the frontman, adding members like Christian Carmona on guitar and vocals, José Parcero on bass, and Jesús Nicolau on drums. They kept recording through the 2010s, putting out albums like "El Primer Capítulo" in 2011 and "Renovación" in 2014.
