S.O.S. Hc formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s with Roberto Costa on vocals, Pedro Castro on guitar, André "X" Oliveira on bass, and André "Billy" Soares on drums. They played a raw, aggressive style of hardcore with lyrics that often addressed social inequality and political corruption.
Their 1995 album "51 com Limão" became a touchstone in Brazilian hardcore. The record's energy and directness connected with listeners, helping establish the band's presence in the scene.
They released several more albums through the years, including "No Vale da Sombra" in 1997 and "A Estrada" in 1999. Their lineup remained consistent, and they continued performing live for a dedicated following.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
