Soul Carioca came out of Rio de Janeiro with a sound that mixes Brazilian samba, funk, and soul. Their song "Dá Dó" got attention, and they also put out tracks like "Deixa" and "Overdose de Amor." Early on, some samba traditionalists weren't sure about their approach, but they kept at it.
They've released a few albums, including "Dá Dó" in 2017, "Não Vou Deixar Você Só" in 2019, and "Tudo Que Eu Queria" in 2021. There was a dispute over "Dá Dó" with the original writer Nelson Rufino, but it was settled. The band includes Igor Ignácio on vocals and guitar, Raphael Miranda on drums, Vinicius Venturi on bass, and Lucas Porto on guitar.
