Soulwax

Soulwax is a Belgian electronic band formed in 1995 by brothers Stephen and David Dewaele. Their early work included albums like 'Much Against Everyone's Advice' in 1998 and 'As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt. 2' in 2002, which mixed electro, hip-hop, and funk. The 2004 album 'Any Minute Now' continued this approach, featuring tracks like 'E-talking' and 'Conversation Intercom' that became staples in their catalog.

Beyond their studio recordings, Soulwax developed a reputation for immersive live shows that combined music with visual elements. They've also worked under other names, including the DJ project 2 Many DJs and the experimental outlet DEEWEE. The band's lineup has included Stefaan Van Leuven on keyboards and Iwein Demey on drums alongside the Dewaele brothers.

Their sound evolved over subsequent releases like 'Nite Versions' in 2005 and 'From DEEWEE' in 2009, incorporating more techno and house influences while maintaining their rhythmic drive. Later albums such as 'Transient Program for Transient Beings' in 2017 showed them continuing to experiment within electronic music's broader landscape.
