Archive material and source history

Sound and Fury came out of Los Angeles in the early 2000s. They were a four-piece with Jason Cruz on vocals and rhythm guitar, David Kushner on lead guitar, Dan Palmer on bass, and Adam Rich on drums. Their debut album '18' came out in 2003, followed by 'Beneath the Thunder' in 2005 and 'End of the Road' in 2008.

Their songs like '18' and 'Teenage Rampage' had a raw, driving energy. The lyrics sometimes touched on difficult subjects, which drew criticism from some quarters. They kept at it, though, and developed a following that connected with that direct approach.

By the time they put out 'End of the Road' in 2008, they had settled into a sound built around Kushner's guitar work and Cruz's vocals. They didn't really break up in a formal sense; they just stopped putting out new records after that. You can still find people playing 'Bad Touch' or 'Night Of The Ghouls' from time to time.
