Sound of Triglav formed in Ukraine around 2010, with Olga Pluska on vocals and accordion. They work with Vadim Pluska on guitar and mandolin, and Yura Karpovich on bass. Their first album was called 'Veles,' and they followed it with records titled 'Triglav' and 'Kupala.'
Their music draws from Slavic folklore and mythology, mixing traditional elements with more contemporary arrangements. The song 'Zoriuszka' is based on an old Ukrainian folk tale and has become one of their better-known pieces.
Some listeners who preferred more traditional Slavic folk music didn't always embrace their approach. The band kept working with their particular blend of sounds regardless.
