Spencer & Hill

Spencer & Hill were an Austrian dance duo formed in 1989 by Josef "Joe" Spindler and Manfred "Freddy" Hillinger. Their debut single "Cool" became a hit in 1993, establishing them with a sound that leaned into trance and techno rhythms. Songs like "Shine On" and "Believe It" followed, maintaining their presence on dance floors through the 1990s and early 2000s.

They kept releasing music despite some personal and professional challenges that occasionally surfaced in the background. The duo's partnership lasted until 2014, when they went their separate ways. Before that, they put out tracks such as "About You Now" and "Castles In The Sky," which stayed in rotation for fans of that era's electronic sound.

Their catalog includes a mix of original productions and remixes, like their take on "Call My Name." While their chart momentum slowed in the later years, Spencer & Hill's earlier work, especially "Cool," remains a recognizable piece of 90s dance music from Austria.
