Sport was an Italian electronic duo formed by Roberto Lanfranchi and Miki Chieregato. They released their self-titled debut album in 1991, followed by 'The Emotion' in 1993. Their music blended house, techno, and ambient elements into instrumental tracks with ethereal qualities.

In 1992, their track 'Barcelona, 1992' became associated with the Olympic Games held in that city. The song's sweeping melodies and hypnotic rhythms captured a certain spirit of the event, though the connection appears to have been more atmospheric than official. Other tracks like 'Eric Tabarly' and 'Melbourne, 1956' continued their pattern of naming compositions after places and figures.

Sport's output was relatively brief, and they faced some accusations of plagiarism that complicated their reputation. Their music had a particular quality that resonated in certain electronic circles of the early 1990s, even as the duo maintained a somewhat low profile.
