SSP, short for Sin Sentido Propio, formed in Mexico City in the early 2000s. The original lineup included Leonardo de Lozanne on vocals, Ángel Reyero on guitar, Nico Saavedra on bass, and Alex Lora on drums. Their debut album came out in 2005, featuring the ballad 'Dime Porque (Tu Te Vás)' which became a hit.
Their songs often dealt with personal themes and social commentary, which sometimes drew criticism for being too explicit. In 2013, drummer Alex Lora left the band, leading to a brief pause in their work. They've continued releasing albums since then, including 'Líneas Paralelas' in 2016 and 'Confesiones' in 2020.
