St. Finnikin

St. Finnikin started in the early 2000s, with vocalist Alana Henderson and guitarist Mark Kilgore meeting in Pennsylvania. They named the band after a patron saint of Irish musicians. Their early shows didn't draw much attention, but they kept at it, slowly building a fanbase around songs that mixed rock energy with personal lyrics.

Their track '1, 300 Miles' became a defining moment, a ballad about separation that connected widely and helped push them into the alternative rock spotlight. Other songs like 'FOREVER & ALWAYS' and 'Hurt' carried similar emotional weight, often touching on love and loss in a way that split critics between those who found it too sentimental and those who appreciated the directness.

Their first album was called 'Chasing Ghosts', and they followed it with records like 'The Weight of the World' and 'Whispers of the Wind', which showed them trying out different sounds while staying grounded in that earnest, melodic style.
