St Woods formed in London in 2014 with five members: Carla Azar on vocals and guitar, Tom Fleming on guitar and vocals, Johnny Helm on bass and vocals, Kevin Mark Trail on keyboards and vocals, and Lewis Jones on drums. They started playing in small underground venues after an early label deal didn't work out.
Their debut single 'A Part From God' came out in 2016 and got some attention for its lyrics about spirituality. Their first album Collide followed in 2017.
