Star Lion Family

Star Lion Family formed in the late 1990s when siblings Grant and Scott Sproul and their cousin Scott Lamson started playing together as teenagers. They spent those early years gigging around, trying to make something happen while dealing with the usual financial struggles of a new band.

In 2005 they put out their first album, 'The Heart That Bleeds.' The track 'Hold The Faith' from that record connected with listeners and did well on Christian music charts. That song became something of an anthem for them, a straightforward statement of perseverance that defined their early sound.

Some listeners questioned whether their faith felt authentic or if their sound had become too polished, but they kept writing and recording. They never really addressed the criticism directly, just continued putting out music with the same consistent message.
