Starblind came out of Finland playing melodic death metal. Their 2004 debut was called The Awakening, and they followed it up with Blood Red Skies in 2006, which gave them a title track that stuck with fans. The band included Antero Manninen on vocals, Jyri Kivistö on guitar, Janne Karttunen on bass, and Riku Katainen on drums.
They put out In the Shadow of the Sun in 2008, then The Arcane in 2011. By 2014's Into the Void, they were working with more progressive and atmospheric sounds. Other songs in their catalog include A Dying Son, At The Mountain Of Madness, and Blood In The Night.
