Statyca

Statyca was an alternative rock band active in the early 2000s, fronted by vocalist Javier. Their 2003 single "Junto a Ti" became a breakthrough, known for its melancholic melody and introspective lyrics. The band's sound was built around that emotional intensity, with Javier and guitarist Luis forming the core songwriting duo.

They released three albums, starting with 2003's 'El Sueño de la Razón,' which included "Junto a Ti." Their later work, like the song "Statycamente," continued in that vein of raw, heartfelt rock. The lineup also included Miguel on bass and Carlos on drums at various points.

While some critics found their themes of loss and heartbreak too heavy, others appreciated the directness. The band built a following through club shows before their single connected with a wider audience. Their music had a plainspoken quality that avoided grand gestures, sticking closer to personal reflection.
