Archive material and source history

Stavesacre formed in 1995, around the tail end of the grunge era. Their first album, Friction, White Heat, came out the following year. The band's lineup included Mark Salomon on vocals and guitar, Jeff Bellew on guitar and vocals, Ryan Dennehy on drums, and Kevin Schaffer on bass.

Their 1998 album Speakeasy included the song "Colt 45," which became one of their most recognized tracks. The album's themes and language sparked some debate within Christian music circles at the time. They released several more albums, including Exquisite Corpse in 2003 and Security in 2006.

Other songs in their catalog include "Keep Waiting," "A Consequence Plan," and "A Place Where I Can Breathe." They put out a self-titled album in 2015.
