Stellar Kart formed in 2002 with Adam Agee, Brian White, and Jordan Pruitt. Their debut album 'All Gas, No Brakes' came out the following year, and the single 'Start Right Now' got them some attention in Christian music circles. They followed it up with 'Coming Home' in 2005, which won them a Dove Award for Best New Artist.
Jordan Pruitt left the band in 2006 to go solo, and drummer Brian White was diagnosed with leukemia around that time. They kept recording through it, putting out 'Everything Is Different Now' in 2007 and 'All Together Now' in 2010. Songs like 'Me And Jesus' and 'Shine Like The Stars' became staples for them.
In 2009, a Christian festival canceled one of their performances because of the band's stance on homosexuality, which stirred up some debate. They released a reunion album in 2019.
