Stereo Groove formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 with vocalist Mauthe, guitarist Edu, bassist Bocão, and drummer Marcos. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1994, and two years later they released 'Inesquecível,' which included the single 'Agora É Minha Vez.' That song became a major hit in Brazil.
Mauthe left the band in 1999 and was replaced by singer Julinho. In 2002, Stereo Groove faced plagiarism accusations over their song 'Tudo de Novo,' which led to a legal dispute. Other songs from their catalog include 'Groove do Bom,' 'S.O.S.,' and 'Sentimento Bom.'
