Stevie Lee Woods was born in Mississippi in 1947. He played guitar and sang, and in the mid-1970s he formed Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble with guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Woods was the band's lead vocalist and primary songwriter.
After leaving that band, Woods released his solo debut album 'Out of the Shadow' in 1991. It included the single 'It's Only Money.' He also worked with other artists like Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and Buddy Guy.
