His debut album 'Texas Flood' came out in 1983 and established his reputation as a powerful blues guitarist. He followed it with records like 'Couldn't Stand the Weather' in 1984 and 'Soul to Soul' in 1985. The song 'Nothing But Love' appeared on his 1989 album 'In Step'.
