Stone Gods formed in 2006 after guitarist Dan Hawkins and drummer Ed Graham left The Darkness. They brought in bassist Andy Gee and vocalist Richie Edwards, keeping things in the British rock lane but with their own direction. Their debut album 'Failure Automaton' came out in 2008, featuring the single 'Breakdown' which got some attention.
They worked with producer Kevin Shirley, who's known for his work with Aerosmith and Iron Maiden, and did a collaboration with singer Beth Hart. Their second album was called 'Silver Spoons & Broken Bones.' Songs like 'Burn The Witch' and 'Knight Of The Living Dead' showed their taste for riff-heavy rock with some attitude in the lyrics.
After that second album, things went quiet. They never officially announced a breakup, but there hasn't been new music from the band in years. For a while there, they were a solid rock outfit that came together after a bigger band fell apart.
