Flight

The far off rumble of thunder,

And distant flash of lightening striking,

Brings a memory of what's beyond tomorrow,

And sets my sights beyond what i've achieved today.

Tomorrow's too late to do what should be done today,

The raging fire around your heart longs for action,

The midnight rain will wash away your past mistakes in time,

So start again and this time never let them cast you out.

There comes a time in your life,

When you must decide on what you believe in,

Will you control your own mind,

Or just go on being deceived?

Visions break among the blueness of the moonlit sky,

Inspiring freedom, causing thoughts that test authority,

Stay strong in your beliefs and fight the ones that test your path,

And feel the power as mind and soul become one.

Something our lives tell us every day,

Pick yourself up from the pile of ashes,

As a new child you'll fly away.
