Street Dogs formed in Boston in the late 1990s with Mike McColgan on vocals, Chuck Coyle on guitar, Kevin Rheault on bass, and Paul Razzano on drums. Their debut album 'Savior' came out in 1999, followed by 'Fading American Dream' in 2002 and 'State of Grace' in 2005.
Their songs like 'Guns' and 'Jakes' carried a straightforward punk sound that drew some criticism for being too raw or confrontational, but they kept playing shows and built a following around that direct approach. They didn't really soften things up or chase trends.
