You Will Heal

Now believe me, you will heal

forever's not this hurting that you feel

you cannot see inside yourself what others do

but there's a stronger source of hope inside of you

And we all wish that we could take

away the human reasons for your ache

you may not see through all this dark how people care

but we're all pleading for your happiness in prayer

So know you're loved, and all this while

we are poorer from the absence of your smile

our deepest wish would guarantee

to see your heart as well as it may be

And when that heart comes out of hiding

and the suffering starts to ease

may your joy become contagious

so that others too may see

That the pain is not eternal, but the human spirit is

and no love's more real than one that heals
