Submersed formed in Virginia Beach in the early 2000s with Donald Carpenter on vocals, Eric Friedman on guitar, Josh Evans on bass, and Cory Grady on drums. Their debut album 'In Due Time' came out in 2004, featuring the single 'Hollow' which connected with rock listeners.
Friedman left the band in 2006, the same year they released their second album 'Immortal Verses.' They put out a third album called 'Hope' in 2010. Their songs like 'Price Of Fame' and 'Better Think Again' carried a straightforward rock sound with Carpenter's vocals up front.
