Subseven formed in Los Angeles around the mid-2000s with Joel Peat on vocals, David Duarte on guitar, Mike Villalobos on bass, and Matt Burke on drums. Their debut album 'At the Park' came out in 2007, featuring the title track and songs like 'Beginning Once Again' and 'Blinking Lights.'
They put out several more albums over the following years, including 'The Other Side of the Park' in 2009 and 'Echoes of Silence' in 2012. The band's catalog also includes tracks such as 'Blue Eyes Blue' and 'Breathe.'
In 2009, Duarte was arrested for drug possession, which created some public difficulty for the group. They continued recording, releasing 'Ashes of Time' in 2015.
