Sueño de Pescado

Sueño de Pescado formed in Buenos Aires in the late 1990s when Lucio Maza and Javier Casalla met in the San Telmo neighborhood. They started playing small gigs in bars and clubs around the city, building a local following with their mix of folk, rock, and reggae sounds.

Their 2003 album "Pecar es Divino" included the song "Bicicletas," which became widely popular in Argentina. The track's simple melody and themes of freedom resonated with many listeners, turning it into something of an unofficial anthem that people would sing at various gatherings.

After that breakthrough, the band kept recording and releasing music, though they never quite matched the cultural moment of "Bicicletas." Their name translates to "fish dream," which gives a sense of the slightly surreal quality that runs through their work.
