They released their debut album 'Passagem do Tempo' in 1975, but it was the 1977 single 'Coelho Branco' that brought them wider attention.
'Coelho Branco' became a national sensation in Brazil, though its lyrics about drug use and enlightenment drew criticism from conservative voices at the time. The song's psychedelic sound and ambiguous themes connected with many younger listeners.
After 'Coelho Branco,' Sunny put out albums like 'Eguns' in 1978 and 'A Peleja do Diabo com o Dono do Céu' in 1979. Their music mixed rock with jazz and Brazilian folk elements, though they never quite reached the same level of mainstream recognition again.
