Super700 formed in Los Angeles in the early 2000s around guitarist and vocalist Scott Murphy, bassist Ben Donohue, and drummer Chris Steele. Their debut album, 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,' came out in 2004 and included the single 'Susan,' which got some radio play and helped build an audience for their mix of indie rock and electronic touches.
After drummer Chris Steele left the band, they continued as a duo with Murphy and Donohue, later adding Chris Bradley on drums and electronics. They put out two more albums, 'Electric Blue' in 2010 and 'Neon Dreams' in 2012, before going quiet around 2013. Other songs like 'Life With Grace' and 'Selfcontrol' show the range of their catalog, from guitar-driven tracks to more synth-oriented material.
