Surrealize formed in São Paulo around 2012, when Anya Moreno met guitarist Bruno Santoro and bassist Felipe Martins at a local open mic. They started playing indie rock with some dream pop touches, working through the usual early struggles of a new band. Their single 'Nosso Amor Sempre Estará Aqui' came out in 2016 and found an audience in Brazil.
That song helped lead to their first album, Dreamweaver, in 2017. They followed it with Horizons in 2019 and Echoes of the Past in 2022. Another track, 'Um Novo Caminho,' is among their better-known songs.
