Surrender (BR)

Surrender formed in São Paulo in 1997 with Ricardo Koctus on vocals, Vinícius Louzada on guitar, João Campos on bass, and Leandro Dalle on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 1999, followed by 'Fallen Angel' in 2001 and 'The Fallin Man' in 2003.

Their song 'Fallin Man' from that third album became particularly well-known. Other tracks like 'Half of a Man' and 'Love's Gonna Catch 'em All' also appeared in their catalog during those years. They kept recording through the 2000s with albums like 'Phoenix' in 2005 and 'The Awakening' in 2009.

There were some financial issues along the way, including a canceled tour in 2006. The band sometimes drew attention for speaking about social and political matters. They remained active in Brazil's rock scene through the decade.
