Suzy Bogguss grew up in Aledo, Illinois and released her self-titled debut album in 1989. Her 1992 album 'Aces' included the song 'Somebody to Love,' which reached number one on the Billboard Country Singles chart. She followed that with albums like 'Somewhere Between' in 1994 and 'Moment of Truth' in 1996.
In 1995 she left her record label and started her own independent operation. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, underwent treatment, and continued making music afterward.
