Sweetbox

Sweetbox formed in 2000 as a collaboration between German producer Geo and Swedish singer Jade Villalon. Their debut album came out the following year, and the track 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' became their most recognizable song. It had a straightforward, hopeful quality that connected with listeners in a way their other material didn't quite match.

Villalon left the group in 2004, which led to some legal disputes over the band name. Geo kept Sweetbox going with different vocalists afterward. They put out several more albums, including songs like 'Cinderella' and 'Here comes the Sun,' but never quite recaptured the specific moment of that first single's reach.

Their sound generally stayed in pop territory, sometimes leaning into dance or R&B elements. The project's output was consistent, if not always groundbreaking, and it maintained a small but steady audience for years after its initial peak.
