SweetStance

SweetStance formed in Fortaleza with Marcela Vale on vocals, Bruno Morais on guitar, Marcelo Costa on bass, and Leandro Souza on drums. They worked their way up from the local scene, writing songs that connected with people before breaking through nationally.

Their song "Com ou sem voce" became a major hit in Brazil, giving the band its biggest success. They released three studio albums: the debut "Tudo Novo," the self-titled "Com ou sem Voce" that featured their signature track, and a final album called "Renascer" that took a more experimental direction.

Some of their lyrics touched on social issues and sparked debate, but they kept making music that felt honest to them. They were a four-piece band from the northeast of Brazil that managed to reach a national audience with straightforward pop-rock songs that had Brazilian rhythmic touches.
