SWI.T formed in 2002 with Dewi Persik, Ika Putri, and Sherly Octarina. Their debut album 'Everybody Get Down' came out the following year, and the title track became a national hit in Indonesia. The song 'I'll be there' also appeared on that record.
In 2006, Sherly Octarina died in a car accident. The band later added Metha Yunatria and Pipit Amelia to the lineup. They released a second album in 2010.
