Sycco

Sycco is a British electronic dance music band that formed in 2010. Their debut single "Dribble" came out that same year, establishing their presence with dance beats and a cheeky lyrical approach. The band's core lineup includes Matt James on vocals and songwriting, Peter Robinson on guitar, and Michael Johnson handling bass and production duties.

In 2012 they released their self-titled debut album, which showed some range beyond straightforward dance tracks. They followed that with 2015's "The World Is Your Canvas," another album that kept them working in the dance music space. Other songs in their catalog include "Nicotine," "Peacemaker," and "Germs," along with a collaboration track called "Ripple" featuring Flume and Chrome Sparks.

Around 2014 they had some legal trouble with their former record label over contract issues, which eventually settled with the band regaining control of their music. Their lyrics have sometimes drawn attention for being explicit, though they've generally defended that as part of their artistic expression. They've kept putting out music without much dramatic reinvention, staying with the electronic dance sound they started with.
