Sylver formed in 1997 with Silvy De Bie, Wout Van Dessel, and John Miles, Jr. They worked in pop and dance territory, and their song 'Turn The Tide' became a hit in Europe. The group released albums like 'Chances' in 2000 and 'Little Things' in 2003.
Silvy De Bie's vocals were a central part of their sound, while Wout Van Dessel handled much of the production. Other songs like 'Forgiven' and 'The Smile Has Left Your Eyes' showed their range across dance-pop and slower material.
In 2005, there were some questions about their song 'Living my Life' and similarities to other work. De Bie also dealt with health issues around that time. The band kept recording, putting out 'Nightwish' in 2006.
