T. Guy was a rock band formed by Tom "T" Gorman on vocals and guitar, Guy "Grizz" Griffin on bass, and Scott "Scooter" Satterfield on drums. They released four albums between 1994 and 2003, starting with a self-titled debut and including "No Friend of Mine" in 1997. Their song "No Friend of Mine" became their most recognizable track, though it drew criticism from some who interpreted its lyrics as promoting violence against women, which the band disputed.
Their live shows were known for being chaotic, with equipment problems and occasional crowd issues. Internal tensions between Gorman and Griffin eventually led to the band's breakup, which happened around the time of their final album "Broken" in 2003. Other songs like "People, People," "Angeline," and "The Valley" appeared on their records, but "No Friend of Mine" remained what people remembered them for.
