Editor's note

T-Pistonz+KMC, the anime rock duo from Japan.

A Japanese rock band known for upbeat songs in series like One Piece and Soul Eater.

If you want their sound, try "Dash!" or "Issho Ni Arukou (Little Blue Box)." They're good examples of what they do.

They've been making bright, energetic rock for anime fans since 2003. Songs like "Dash!" and "Issho Ni Arukou (Little Blue Box)" have that straightforward, catchy feel that works in shows. It's the kind of music that just fits an opening sequence.

They started as a four-piece in 2003 with Takahiro Sakurai on vocals. Over the years, members like Tomoaki Maeno and Yuuichi Iguchi left due to health and other reasons. Sakurai and bassist Shinnosuke Tachibana kept going as a duo.

Their debut single "Jounetsu de Mune Atsu!" found an audience, and they went on to record songs like "Kokoro Wo Tsunagou!" and "Issho Ni Arukou (Little Blue Box)." In 2008, Maeno had to step back from performing due to a vocal cord polyp.
