T-Shirt formed in Madrid in 1984, with members including Joserra Senperena on vocals and guitar, Juantxo Arakama on drums, Jonan Basterra on bass, Joseba Ponce on guitar, and Edu Beaumont on keyboards. They took their name from the ordinary garment, which felt like a quiet nod to everyday people rather than a grand statement. Their music mixed punk rock with reggae rhythms, and they wrote songs about social and political themes, sometimes referencing figures like Rosa Luxemburg in their lyrics.

They released albums like "Para Rosa Luxemburgo" in 1987, "No Hay Paz Para Los Malos" in 1989, and "El Amanecer de la Rabia" in 1993. Songs such as "Para Rosa Luxemburgo," "Síndrome Dos Dois Primeiros Versos," and "Classe Média" show their range from anthemic tracks to more reflective pieces. Their outspoken approach in lyrics and performances drew attention and sometimes pushback from authorities, but they kept playing through the 1980s and 1990s.

After their active years, T-Shirt's music has stayed in circulation, with songs like "Antihit De Verão" and "Cansei, Brasil." still popping up in playlists and discussions. They never aimed for mainstream polish, and that rough-edged quality is part of what listeners remember.
