Tadpole

Tadpole came out of Seattle in the early 1990s, a four-piece with Tad Kubler on vocals and guitar, Kurt Danielson on guitar, Gabe Curtis on bass, and Eric Eagle on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album on Sub Pop in 1992. The single "Alright" got some radio play and became their best-known track, a straightforward rock song with a big chorus that fit right into the alternative scene of the time.

They followed up with two more albums, "8-Way Santa" in 1994 and "Thirteen" in 1996. The band had a handful of other songs that stuck with listeners, like "Worn And Weary," "Always Be Mine," and "Bullhorn." They called it quits in 1999. Kubler died in 2007. After the band ended, Danielson and Curtis played together in Gas Huffer, and Eagle kept drumming for other projects.
